A member of the New York Patent Law Association since 1938, Mr. Daniels served as Assistant Commissioner of Patents in Charge of Trademark Operations from 1947 to 1950, where he worked closely with the late Dr. Walter J. Derengerg, then Trademark Counsel to the U.S. Commissioner of Patents, in bringing into force the Lanham Act of 1946. He resigned 31 Aug 1950. He lived in Riverton and Rumson before moving here two years ago. He was a lawyer, associatied the law firm of Liddy, Sullivan, Hart, and Daniels, New York. He was an Army vereran of World War II, and a graduate of Columbia University Law School. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Coudersport, Pa., and Rumson Presbyterrian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Martha Hurst, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Susan Cannon, Cedar City, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Georgina Berger, Coudersport, Pa., and nine grandchildren. The John E.
