George Myette received a concussion and skull fracture 15 or 16 May 1937 in a car accident where a 2 1/2 year old baby was killed. His wife, Amelia, suffer a laceration of her ankle. George Myette was driving the car that hit the Monroe family's vehicle where the baby died. It was not known who was at fault based on the May 17 and 18, 1937 newspaper articles in the Fresno Bee. The article in the Fresno Bee on May 19, 1937 indicated that the death was caused by the negligence of both drivers. The June 5, 1937 Fresno Bee reports that George Myette was suing Norville Monroe, the driver of the other vehicle for $20,745.50 for the injuries George sustained. George claimed the injuries were of a "permanent nature".
In August 1933, George and Tal Runnel, a local automobile salesman, opened Goerge's and Tal's Barrel house, a restaurant and bar in Fresno, CA.
