Pierre is the brother of Louis Gagné husband of Marie Michel. Pierre and Louis are the ancestors of our Gagné families. Pierre who is the elder one, was born in Igé, baptized on January 2, 1610, while Louis, September 13, 1612. Pierre marries around 1639, Marguerite Rosée or Rouzée, born in 1615. The couple crosses the Atlantic about 1653, with three sons, Louis, Pierre and Nicolas. A daughter, Marguerite is born in Quebec thereafter. Louis Gagné dit Bellavance, baptized on January 28 in 1643, with St-Côme de Vair. He receives a seigniory in 1672, which takes the name of Fresnaye.
