Burke Woman Agede [sic] 74 Dies.
Mrs. Claudia (Allard) Tavernier, Tavernia, aged 74, died at her home in Burke this morning at 6 o'clock. She had been in failing health since early autumn.
Born in Beauharnois, Quebec, on April 10,1871, she was united in marriage to John Tavernia, Chateaugay, in 1898. The couple moved to Burke in 1900 where they have since resided.
Mrs. Tavernia was a member of St. George's church, Burke.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Cora and Eva of New York City, and Mary, of Syracuse; and three sons, John, of Florida; Armand, Buffalo; and Phil who resides at the homestead in Burke. Also surviving are three grandchildres, Ann Tavernia, of Buffalo, and Nancy and Jane Tavernia, Burke; on brother, Rolland Allard, Beauharnois; and one sister, Rose, of Valleyfield; and several nieces and nephews.

This cemetery was transcribed 14 April 2001 by Michael & Joyce Ranieri. It was compared to a very short (one page) transcription compiled by Elizabeth H. Coleman, Adirondack Chapter D.A.R., in 1931. The oldest burials appear to be those of Nettie SHATRAW TAYLOR and John CALLAHAN who both died in 1923.
